Guru Padmasambhava

Guru Padmasambhava was an emanation of Amitabha Buddha and the incarnation of the enlightened speech of all Tathagatas. He arose from a golden dorje marked with the Hrih syllable. The dorje appeared on a multicolored lotus which, due to the Buddhas blessings, had flourished on an island of Lake Danakosha, in the southwest of the kingdom of Oddiyana. His was the lord of the secret mantra and a master of the symbolic language of the Dakinis. His tireless enlightened activity led innumerable beings to full spiritual maturation.



Dudjom Lingpa

(1835-1904)

Dudjom Lingpa was a great meditation master, visionary and tertön (discoverer of secret teachings) of the Nyingma tradition of the Mantrayana. He also was a great dzogchen master, particularly in the aspect of refined perception or nang jang. Through the dream yoga, trance and visionary experiences, Dudjom Lingpa received direct transmissions from the wisdom mind of many of the lineage and Buddhist holders such as Sri Singha, Saraha, Vajradhara and Manjushri.

Kyabjé Dudjom Rinpoche, Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje

(1904-1987)

Kyabjé Dudjom Rinpoche, Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje was the supreme spiritual leader of the Nyingma school, from 1960 until his Mahaparinirvana. He was a poet, writer, tertön (discoverer of secret teachings), historian (The Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism, its Fundamentals and History), meditation teacher and tantric yogi. He left the body on January 17, 1987 in Dordogne, France, and was enthroned in a stupa in his monastery in Boudhanath, Kathmandu (Nepal).

Kyabjé Dudjom Rinpoche, Sangye Pema Shepa

Kyabjé Dudjom Rinpoche, Sangye Pema Shepa, was born in 1990 in Jyekundo (Kham). His father was Dola Tulku Jigme Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, son of Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje, and his mother is Pema Khandro. He has been recognized as Dudjom Rinpoche tulku by Tare Lhamo, Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, Chadral Rinpoche, Thinley Norbu Rinpoche and Minling Trichen Rinpoche. His enthronement ceremony was held in 1994 in Nepal by Chadral Rinpoche.

Kyabjé Dungse Shenphen Dawa Norbu Rinpoche

(1950-2018)

Kyabjé Dungse Shenphen Dawa Norbu Rinpoche was son of Kyabjé Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje and regent of the Dudjom Tersar lineage until his mahaparinirvana. He was born in Kongbo (Tibet) and was recognized by His Holiness Karmapa as the reincarnation of Taksham Tulku and Tulku Yeshe, discoverer of numerous hidden teachings. Throughout his childhood and youth, he received from his father complete training in all aspects of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism.

Su Santidad Dungse Namgay Dawa Rinpoche

H.H. Dungse Namgay Dawa Rinpoche is a son of Kyabje Dungse Shenphen Dawa Norbu Rinpoche. He has been recognized as a reincarnation of Garwang Sangye Dorje who was one of the main teachers of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje. His mother is H.R.H. Ashi Pema Codon Wangchuk, a royal family member of Bhutan.

H.H. Dungse Namgay Dawa Rinpoche was enthroned by Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche himself, who blessed him and predicted his future. He received his education at St. Paul Catholic school in Darjeeling, for his higher school he attended Baha School, in Maharashta. Later he studied at Penor Rinpoche’s Namdroling Monastery and later in a Nyingma monastery in Kathmandu for further training in the Dharma.

H.H. Dungse Namgay Dawa Rinpoche has received teachings and empowerments from the following masters: Chatral RinpocheKarmapa Rangjung Rigpé Dorje, Muksang Rinpoche, Penor Rinpoche, Trulshik Rinpoche and his father Kyabje Dungse Shenphen Dawa Norbu Rinpoche.
