The current situation has left us in a privileged position for looking at the mirror of our reality. Amid our wretchedness and heroism as a society, the reminder of our own expiration date is constantly flying around. We can no longer hide death behind online purchases or do-it-yourself manuals.
In this environment, Kyabje Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, with complete assertiveness, offers us his most recent book, Living is dying, in which we can find advice on how to prepare for dying, death and beyond. Inspired by nearly one hundred questions that were put to him by friends and students, in this book Rinpoche describes how to:
- Prepare for our own death.
- Help, comfort and guide a dying friend or loved one.
- Approach the moment of death.
- Navigate the bardos (intermediate states).
- Guide the dead.
- Help loved ones who have died.
With great compassion, Rinpoche shares with us his valuable advice arising from wisdom, in these uncertain times in which reality has removed its masks.
